The major gooal in all of our class as well as in our Arabic classes is to provide you with the ability to use Arabic in a as large as possible variety of real-life situations. To that end, our Arabic courses have been designed to build fluency in both the spoken and the written language. Communication in a warm and relaxed environment is an important feature of our programs, as is homework, which includes exercises for review and practice of the material taught in class. Moreover, by keeping the class size limited to twelve students, we ensure that each student will be able to actively participate.

Arabic I / Beginning level                         Register

THis course introduces both spoken and written Modern Standard Arabic, the language of education, business and the media throughout the Arabic speaking world. Upon completion of this course, students can expect to be able to discuss their families and jobs. They should also be able to identify spoken words by part of speech and distinguish between nominal and verbal sentence structures. Students learn to read and write the complete Arabic alphabet. Proper pronunciation and the development of conversational proficiency are strongly emphasized as a foundation for further learning.

Arabic II / Intermediate Level                  Register

A follow-up to Italian I or to refresh the Italian that you studied in the past. With an emphasis on conversational Italian, you will learn more grammar and complex sentence structures. We will study the present, future and past tenses.

Continue to build your French conversation skills. This class picks up where French II leaves off. It continues to emphasize conversational French and much of the class is in French. We work on more advanced grammar and sentence structures, including one or more of the following tenses: imperfect, conditional and subjunctive.

French IV / Advanced Level

This course is an advanced course which focuses on extended conversation using complex sentences and appropriate pronouns, on more complex comparisons of people, things and actions, on extended narration of past, present and future events, and on expressions of emotions, wishes and hypotheses in complex sentences.
